JSP 430  MOD Ship Safety Management has been partially replaced by DSA02-DMR – MOD Shipping Regulations for Safety and Environmental Protection.  ASEMS may therefore contain references to both JSP430 and DSA02-DMR until JSP430 is completely superceded.

DEFENCE MARITIME REGULATOR NOTICE 01/2016 INSTRUCTION / GEN Paragraph 3 states: 

This DSA02 Directive supersedes those clauses from JSP430 Part 1 and 2 (that form regulations). Any supporting paragraphs from any part of JSP430 and other guidance information (not forming a regulation) are being transferred into a DSA03 level suite of Defence Codes of Practice (DCOP). Until this process completes, guidance elements within Part 1 and information in JSP430 Parts 2 and 3 remain suitable means of compliance with the new Shipping Regulations. Where projects are contractually committed to JSP430, full compliance with these requirements should remain an approved means of compliance with the new Regulation style
